Chief Sustainability
Officer School

A comprehensive training cycle designed to prepare participants for taking on the role of Chief Sustainability Officer within a company. Participants will explore all key aspects of sustainability and ESG, and will be equipped to manage this area by building both functional and leadership competencies essential for success in the role. 

Participants work in teams, expanding their professional network and learning from each other in a collaborative environment. The program is led by experienced managers and sustainability practitioners. 

The first and final modules are delivered in person, with the remaining sessions held online. 

Program modules include: 

• Introduction to sustainability and self-sustainability 

• The Paris Agreement, Agenda 2030, and key global and international initiatives 

• ESG in the European Union: the European Green Deal, SFDR, and Taxonomy 

• ESG: Deep dive into individual pillars 

• ESG Strategy: guidelines, process, and best practices 

• ESG Reporting: legal regulations and best practices 

• The role of the CSO and the sustainability competency matrix 

• Organizing ESG within a company: team structure, processes, scorecards 

• Building a critical skill: stakeholder management

This program is designed for current CSOs looking to deepen and expand their knowledge, as well as for future CSOs and professionals newly appointed to the role.
